Title CU Botanic Garden and its unique role in addressing global challenges
Abstract To follow.
Our Speaker Prof. Beverley Glover came to Cambridge in 1996 after a PhD at the John Innes Centre in Norwich. Her main interest is the evolution and development of floral features which attract pollinators. Beverley’s research integrates molecular genetics to understand floral development with functional analyses using bumblebees and other pollinators, and carried out with regard to the phylogenetic context. Her group’s work on these topics is underpinned by the collection at CU Botanic Garden, of which she is the Director. We are delighted to have Beverley as a CGT Patron.
